Can I create mail accounts on my windows server?
Windows Servers come with Mail Enable - Standard Edition. It also has unlimited POP and SMTP accounts.

Do the Windows Servers come with Web Based Email or just email?
The Windows Servers do not come with Web Based Email but they do come with Mail Enable which is full POP and SMTP. You are free to install a web based client on the server if you need it.

Do you offer any Anti-Virus software by default?
Many people have specific preferences as to what Anti-Virus to use on their servers and we do not want to assume on what you like. You are more than welcome to install whatever program that suits you.

Do your Windows Servers come with the .Net Framework?
Windows 2003 Std./ Web Edition has it by default.

Do your Windows servers come with MSSQL?
Actually MSSQL is a licensed product and has to be purchased. We are not a licensed distributor and therefore cannot provide it. You are welcome to purchase and install a licensed copy on the server.

How can I run a game if your server only has 8 Bit colors?
You may run a game server here but you cannot launch the game in Terminal Services as it has its own Display Adapter which is limited to 8 bit color but you may use VNC to launch the game.

How do I access the Windows servers remotely?
The Windows servers come with Terminal Services otherwise known as RDC (Remote Desktop Connection). There is an end user RDC on your PC Desktop if you are running Windows XP. Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, Comminucations and then to Remote Desktop Connection. You may install PC Anywhere or R Admin if you so choose.

How do I install Software from a CD to my server?
You copy the CD on your local C Drive and you may then map the drive using admin shares to the server here. You can then cut and paste the image from your C Drive there to the Drive here on your server. You may then login using Terminal Services to do the installation.

Will I have Administrator Control (Super User Access)?
You will have full admin access to your server. You are welcome to install whatever you like, make whatever changes, and add mail accounts, domains, sub-domains, or FTP Accounts. Any other software or method of installation will not be supported and Server99 will not be responsible for any problems that may occur.

Will my server have a web-based control panel?
No, if you ahave ordered Control Panel then you get the web based access to your server. Control Panel Software are designed to make your life much simpler as the single point administrator. This tool allows you to manage multiple domains very easily on a windows Server. They are for running a Virtual hosting business. Plesk is currently offered on the Windows Platform.

Will there be a statistics program installed on my Windows server?
In Windows Servers Monitoring software does not come by default but you are welcome to install one.

What are your default Video settings on your Windows Servers?
Terminal Services is restricted to 256 Colors by design. However the video hardware is capable of 32 bit color at 1024X768 resolution.

What software is included with the Windows servers?
Our Windows 2003 servers naturally include IIS 6.0 for Web, FTP and basic SMTP email services, Terminal Service, VNC as well as Microsoft owned DNS Server. In addition to this, Windows 2003 servers include MailEnable Standard Edition for refined SMTP and POP3 email services, especially geared for Virtual Hosting.

Do I get Terminal Services?
Terminal services is available on Windows 2003 Standard Edition servers. Windows 2003 Web Edition offers the Remote Desktop Administration function, specifically designed for server management.

How many concurrent connections for Administrative purposes is my server licensed for?
The actual allowed number of concurrent connections that a Windows 2003 Server comes with is 2 connections for administrative purposes, unless more licenses are purchased through Microsoft.
